Clayton Fields, EA, MBA: Principal Accountant:

I have spent my career helping clients understand the pros and cons of business strategies and what they can expect when navigating through tax situations.

I attended Drake University where I majored in Chemistry and Psychology. After Drake, I attended the University of Colorado Business School.  After graduation, I started working for banks as an analyst and project manager in the Denver Tech Center Area.

When our son was born, we moved back to the Midwest, and I joined the Internal Revenue Service. After ten years of working for the IRS as a Frontline Manager and Instructor, I opened an accounting firm. My expertise includes knowledge of Tax Law, GAAP, accounting systems, and business entrepreneurship.

I have served as the Principal Accountant and/or CFO for over 200 companies since starting this firm.  I am passionate about Entrepreneurship and running businesses.  It’s my calling.

In my free time, I like to focus on my family, exercise, and travel.

Lisa Fields, CPA: Accountant-at-Large:

I am an accountant, hobby farmer, and mother of two beautiful kids.

I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for over 25 years. 😊

I have a Masters of Taxation (Tax Law) from the University of Denver.  I started my career as an accountant working for one of the Big 4 Accounting firms. For most of my career, I’ve worked for venture capital firms and technology companies. I have worked for millionaires and even billionaires.

I help with peer reviews and large projects. I am currently helping to develop a charitable organization for homeless women in Wisconsin.

I kept my day job and I am currently the CFO for one of the largest insurance brokers in the USA.

Sarah Barasch: Accounting & Payroll Specialist:

Sarah Barasch joined Fields Accounting & Tax, LLC in early 2021 and enjoys meeting one-on-one with clients. Sarah is an Accounting Clerk and specializes in managing payroll services for small businesses through Gusto payroll software. She is a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and a certified Gusto People Advisor.

After graduating magna cum laude from Beloit College and sampling many careers, Sarah has followed in her father’s CPA footsteps into the exciting world of tax preparation, bookkeeping, and accounting. 😊

Sarah lives in Jefferson with her young daughter and husband. She enjoys the peaceful small-town life after traveling extensively in Europe, China, and Central America. Sarah lived for eight years in NYC.

In her free time, she offers Ayurvedic health counseling, herbal remedies, and yoga.

Tracy Hamilton, Lead Bookkeeper:

Tracy Hamilton is a graduate of Western IL University with a Bachelor of Business in Management, with a minor in Accounting.  She joined Fields Accounting and Tax in 2021, bringing 12 years of small business bookkeeping experience with her. She is a Certified QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor and a Gusto Certified People Advisor.

Tracy is a wife and mother of two awesome kids.  They are a very scout-oriented family and have had many great adventures because of scouts.  In her free time, Tracy enjoys cooking, geocaching, and playing games.
